Helen K. Pan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000 with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Since graduation, she has held various technical and leadership roles in the fields of autonomous driving systems, satellite/UAV communication, mm-wave wireless system and antenna design, and RF instrument development at Waymo, Google-X, Intel, and Keysight (Former Agilent, HP). She holds 16 patents/patent disclosures and has 49 publications in various journals and international conferences. She received the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society H. A. Wheeler Prize Paper Award in 2004. She has been served as Technical Program Committee (TPC) member and Section Chairs for various IEEE conferences. Helen is currently the Head of Autonomous Driving Hardware, responsible for Baidu AV hardware development.
